News of the Weird

I feel the need to ramble....

First of all, today was one of the strangest weather days I've seen since I moved here 10 years ago....Since I left my house this morning at 8, I think I saw all 4 seasons.....to see them all at once is way weird.....look to the left, sunshine; to the right, blowing snow; straight ahead, rain; to the rear, leaves changing color (okay, we have no leaves, but you get the idea). I have to say, cookie mentioned something about bike riders riding in this weather....I saw a guy jet skiing in the small boat harbor waters yesterday...OMG that's extreme sports! He was having an absolute BLAST.

Second of all, there is NOTHING on TV tonight! I actually watched Kath & Kim and found myself laughing out loud....someone help me!

Third of all, cookie, you have some nerve trying to entice your readers to join you in working out...with a name like COOKIE DOUGH. Oh yeah, JAG #7 is in the mail. ;)

Okay, I'm done rambling now....I'm gonna try to find something to watch and prepare for tomorrow's challenges..perhaps I should be doing yoga or Pilates to preparefor tomorrow, instead of flipping through channels, in other words, find a way to spend my time, not kill it....

  1. YAY what can I say...guy in a uniform on a boat...it's a thing with me! (I don't think my husband has ever stepped foot in the library except for his TWIC card. You've probably not seen him! Not as fancy as JAG well, whatever....)

I moved here in '98 too!

  4. Love these comments this morning! I too was a big JAG fan and was so disappointed when the show ended.....as far as men in uniforms, well, OK, now I think fireman are HOT! Hey, don't you guys get the shows when they air? Satelite TV, cablewision (OK, set this FL gal straight). I'm curious about all the conversations about watching DVD's.

  5. I have lots of cable channels...they all give me a headache. I prefer no commercials, a whole season and my own schedule! I can't even watch anything on regular TV...except channel 8 stuff of course it's OUR channel...

I had never seen JAG before my favorite library started buying seasons (buttering Lauri up...I love new TV seasons...I should actually be talking to her boss and getting my sci-fi fix, I'm lacking in the guys-in-weird-costumes in a soap opera genre.

I still think all my fines should go to a "buy more DVDs fund!"

  10. I LOVE Intervention, Scott won't watch it though...I have to wait til he's gone fishing...and I would KILL to be a size 6...when I moved here I was a size 7, my roomie, Jan made me keep this skirt I used to wear just to remind me....I want to burn it!

  11. I have to admit that I get drawn in by Intervention if I run across it. I don't plan to watch it but if it's on and nothing else more interesting, I can't resist. It's pretty harsh sometimes, huh? Of course, I am used to that kind of stuff with my job...not the intervention itself but all of the feelings associated with substance abuse. Very sad.
